I love taking online friendships offline. Day three of my networking tour allowed me to reconnect with Vie Portland and Kirsty Wolf, who I’d met in person on my 2023 tour. And I was excited to meet Jennifer Jones for the first time.

This diary entry wanted to be a poem 🙂

The day began with a geocache
Around the cathedral and grounds
Then I set off down the high street
To see if my friends could be found.

The first one to turn up was Kirsty
We found each other just fine
She gives online lessons in English
– To translators, some of the time.

Vie and Jennifer came after
To make up our gathering today
The food at Zizzi was tasty
And we all had plenty to say!

Vie is a confidence coach
Helping girls and women be strong
And Jennifer helps would-be authors
To write their books before long.

‘That’s not Zizzi in the photo’
I hear the sharper-eyed blurt
See, we went to have some hot chocolate
At Chococo for desert

Thank you, ladies, for coming
To Winchester city today
King Alfred was glad to have seen you
And I certainly feel the same way.
