Summer Blogging – Day 1.

I’ve been thinking for a while that my blog needs a bit more love. So that what I write is mine, on my own platform.

I’ve always had a block about blogging. A blog-block. It feels so much easier to whip out a quick post on social media, while writing for my blog feels like more work. It feels like it has to be more serious – and then what I write ends up feeling over-optimised and boring.

I want to change that. So I’m doing what I often do when I want to change something: setting myself a challenge and going all in. My plan is to post every day in July. Hopefully also in German. There won’t always be a fancy picture and I’m just going to write, rather than getting all snagged up in SEO shoulds and musts. There’ll be time for that later once I get a habit going. Time to start making sure I don’t start every paragraph with ‘I’. But for now, I need to get back into the flow and write more spontaneously.

I don’t think many people read here, so if you do see this and would like to leave a comment just to say you were here, I would be thrilled 🙂 Or let me know how you feel about writing, blogs, social media, etc. Or even tell me a joke or something – I’m not fussy.
